Overview

The **LEXIS Platform** provides a comprehensive environment that
integrates HPC clusters, cloud resources, and advanced storage
systems. It enables users to design and execute both simple and
highly complex computational workflows composed of chained or
parallel simulations, predictions, or general computational tasks.

The main concepts of the platform are illustrated
in the figure below. It shows the basic entities
that form the foundation of how projects,
computations and datasets are managed throughout the platform.

The platform itself offers a clean, accessible interface that allows
users to focus on the scientific and engineering aspects of
their projects rather than the underlying infrastructure.
Projects within LEXIS further support efficient collaboration
by offering straightforward mechanisms for delegating tasks
among team members, ultimately improving productivity and
accelerating problem‑solving.

This page is part of the LEXIS user guide.
Feel free to browse through it whenever you
need general information about the **LEXIS platform**
or when you need detailed explanation of a specific functionality.

You can also start by `exploring the LEXIS portal <https://portal.lexis.tech>`_
on your own.

Then you can try the basic functionality and create your first workflow
with the help of our :ref:`quick_start` guide.

Maybe you want to know how to create a project?
Or perhaps you're wondering how to upload your dataset?
All that and much more can be found in the complete :ref:`howto_guide`.

We also use some abbreviations and technical terms.
You can familiarise yourself
with them in the :ref:`entities-dictionary` section.
