Platform Interfaces & User Interaction
========================================

The LEXIS Platform exposes its entities through graphical and programmatic interfaces.

The **LEXIS Platform Portal** provides interactive access to:

* projects;
* datasets;
* computational resources;
* applications;
* workflows;
* workflow executions and results.

The **HTTP APIs** expose the same platform concepts for integration with external applications and automation.

Client libraries, including Python-oriented interfaces, provide higher-level access to these APIs.

For application developers, the preferred interaction model is:

.. code-block:: text

rather than direct integration with every individual HPC or storage provider.

The Web Portal and APIs operate on the same underlying platform model. A project, dataset, resource, or workflow created through one interface is therefore the same platform entity accessed through another interface.
